Dark circles also known as Peri-orbital hyper-pigmentation is one of the most common skin conditions and is not appealing. Often accompanied with bags, they make you look tired or older. To make things worse, they are difficult to get rid of. While fatigue is the most common explanation for this condition, there are a number of factors responsible for dark circles. In most cases, there is no cause of concern for dark circles and does not require medical attention.
WHAT CAUSES DARK CIRCLES
Dark circles are usually caused by an accumulation of toxins, stress, allergies, sleeplessness, fatigue, increased screen time and sun exposure which can cause blood capillaries around the eyes to stretch and leak, leaving dark blemishes around the eyes.
The skin around eyes is very delicate and a lot thinner as compared to other parts of the body. The veins are much closer to the skin’s surface. Anything which causes swelling of the blood vessels under the eye’s sensitive skin result in peri-orbital hyper-pigmentation, also known as the dark circles.
